PatagoniaOne - Fly fishing diversity at the max

Next to world-class fly fishing for wild trout, traveling to Patagonia means visiting an area of unbelievable natural beauty. Snow-capped mountains, evergreen forests, turquoise colored rivers; around every corner the scenery changes, seeming to forever become more and more beautiful. Being blessed with innumerable rivers, creeks, lakes and lagoons, fishing options are almost unlimited.  Brown and Rainbow Trout, wild fish are caught in the 12 to 20-inch range. Generally, fish over 20-inches
are caught daily, over 23-inches weekly. The lodge record for both brown and rainbow trout is 32 inches.

We fish at the Rio Palena,Rosselot, Figueroa and Yelcho. Numerous Tributaries will give you the chance to fish in smaller creeks. From Temple Camp we fish the upper stretches of the Rio Figueroa and the waters around Lago Verde. Every river and lake has its own character and secrets. Depending on the season and water levels you will fish with huge dry flies heavy streamers, traditional dries, and even small bead-head nymphs. Or sight-fishing for surface feeding rainbows with small sized flies.

At this destination several camps will be used; Base Camp, Temple Camp,  Río Palena Camp and Las Pampas Lodge, this to ensure that all fly fishing options can be used in order to provide maximum fly fishing pleasure. Even fly fishing in Argentina is possible.

The Temple Camp at Rio Figueroa
At the edge of the dense forest on the banks of the raging Río Figueroa, just below “El Diablo”,  an unique and comfortable camp is built with spacious igloo-shaped tents. The views are just spectaculair.

Río Palena Camp, at Rio Palena
After a full day float, your guide will anchor his raft just below your dome-shaped tent. The camp offers very comfortable wilderness accommodations with spectacular views. A river-bank bush meal on an
open fire will get you ready for your second day of the float.

Las Pampas Lodge at Rio Pico, Argentina
In the midst of the Rio Pico valley, the lodge is only at striking distance from a dozen of spring creeks, free stone rivers, back channels, lagoons and lakes. Offering endless wading possibilities.
